Oils from Nature
Like essential oils, carrier oils also come from plants but are generally from their nuts, kernels, or seeds. We carefully select oils with a low comedogenic rating (which means it's unlikely to clog your pores), to quickly penetrate and nourish your skin without a greasy residue.
Fatty acids Linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid, naturally occurs in many plants. It's important for the health of your skin to help maintain and strengthen its skin barrier to keep the bad stuff out, like bacteria.
Both linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid, are considered essential fatty acids meaning they cannot be produced in the body and are required for human health and healthy, youthful skin. Oleic acid, an omega-9 fatty acid, is the most common fatty acid found in nature.

The Dynamic Functions of Skin
Skin, our largest and most versatile vital organ, plays several crucial roles in maintaining overall health and well-being. It serves as a protective barrier against environmental hazards, including harmful UV rays, bacteria, and pollutants.
The skin is instrumental in regulating body temperature through sweating and the dilation or constriction of blood vessels. Additionally, it stores important nutrients, such as Vitamin D, which is synthesized when the skin is exposed to sunlight, as well as fat and water, which are essential for maintaining skin elasticity and hydration.
The skin also plays a vital role in excretion, helping to remove waste products and toxins from the body through sweat glands. This process not only aids in detoxification but also helps in maintaining a healthy immune system.
Stress can significantly impact skin health, often manifesting as various skin conditions like acne, eczema, or psoriasis.
Emotional stress can disrupt the skin's barrier function, leading to moisture loss and increased susceptibility to irritants and allergens. Therefore, it's important to take great care of your skin, especially at night, which is a crucial time for skin repair and regeneration.
Nighttime skincare routines should focus on nourishing, protecting, and hydrating the skin. Using products with antioxidants, anti-inflammatory agents, and hydrating ingredients can help counteract the effects of stress and environmental damage, keeping the skin healthy and resilient.
